UnovaRPG Online Pokemon Game

Ok, it is time for a new free online Pokemon game. And, as you can tell by the title, it is called UnovaRPG Pokemon Online Game. I have no isea why it has the name UnovaRPG, I guess it stands for something. This online Pokemon RPG is a renamed version of Pokemon Indigo that I reviewed a while back in 2008.
So much so that it mentions Indigo many times on it's site.
Anyway the game itself is like most, UnovaRPG is a free online game that allows you to catch, trade and battle. No download is needed with this , it is a browser based Pokemon game so all you need to do is set up your team with up to six Pokemon monsters and start battling online against other Pokemon players from around the world - they say there are 700,000 trainers (players) but that seems a huge number, not sure if it is true.
There are five Poke regions and each of these have eight badges that you can earn and an Elite 4 region, plus there is also a training region so you can practise and train your Pokemon and try to catch some new ones. It looks like they have all the Pokemon from five generations . I am not sure if you can catch all of them on the maps or whether you need to trade with other players in order to get them all.
They have a Spanish version as well as, I think, a Facebook version of the Pokemon game.

What is the best free online pokemon game?

I seem to get a lot of comments asking "what's the best free online Pokemon game", "what's a great online Pokemon game", "what online Pokemon MMORPG is the best to play" ... stuff like that.
To be honest I have played a whole heap of them and they are are kind of the same, they most be or they would not be a Pokemon game. What sets the good games and bad games apart is the small things that make a huge difference - things like speed of the site, how often the servers are offline, how many members play. Like all games, the littles things matter.

The best of the best free online Pokemon was / is Pokemon Crater
But there are plenty of others to try out, just go through this site and I am sure you will find one.

Some Pokemon games have not been updated for ages but are still playable other games are updated but are not quite good enough still. I know the games are free and made by fans but you still want one that is fun to play, fast, and has enough online players to play against. Enjoy.

Free Pokemon Game - Pokemon Indigo

Pokemon Indigo is one of the big names in the Free Online Pokemon game scene and went up a notch after the demise of Pokemon Crater Battle Arena.
It is still a great online Pokemon game and is still being developed all the time with lots a lots of online player battling away with their Pokemon. It is currently up to version 1.2. I haven't played there for a little while now but I have read that a lot of players are using the firebug hack to get any pokemon characters they want. That would be a shame and would spoil the game. I still think people should try this free Pokemon game anyway and see for them self how much fun it is to play.

Free Online Pokemon MMORPG - Ekaiyo

Man, I have just found out about an upcoming Free Online Pokemon MMORPG and does it look good! It will be called Ekaiyo and when (and if) it gets finalised enough to be released it will be the big Pokemon game that all the others will try to beat.
The big difference between this game and other free online Pokemon games like Pokemon Crater or Pokemon Indigo, is the fantastic 3D rendered world and characters - not rendered as good as Pokemon Battle Revolution on the Nintendo Wii but still, really good.
They have been slowly building this game for a year or so, so hopefully it will be released in the near future.
A great Free Pokemon RPG to play online - look out for it!

Pokemon Indigo

Pokemon Indigo is the newest free Pokemon game that you can play online. Last time I checked it out it was a very early version and didn't work well, now it is v1.0 and seems to be great but remember it is still Beta and a little buggy.

Meet new friends (or rivals) and show that your Pokemon team is the best on the battle field! According to the Pokemon Indigo PokéDex - it has all 493 Pokemon!
